Egyptian ambassador to Ankara Abdurrahman Salahaddin has left Turkey after he was declared persona non grata, Anadolu agency reported on Nov.29.
On Nov.23, 2013 the Egyptian authorities reduced the level of diplomatic relations with Turkey and demanded that country's ambassador in Cairo left Egypt.
Speaking about the decision made by the military government of Egypt with regard to Turkey, Turkish President Abdullah Gul stressed that the current situation between Turkey and Egypt is of temporary nature.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Ankara will maintain close relations with the Egyptian nation despite deteriorating relations between the countries.
According to the foreign minister, the criticism of the Turkish government against the military coup in Egypt doesn't mean interference in the internal affairs of this country.
Turkish ambassador to Egypt Hussein Avni Botsaly arrived in Ankara after he was declared persona non grata in this country.
