Kazakh-Korean technology cooperation center to be created

The Kazakh-Korean technology cooperation center will be created in Kazakhstan, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said at a press conference in Astana today.

"South Korea will take part in diversifying the Kazakh economy. Following our discussions, it was decided to establish the Kazakh-Korean technology cooperation center," he said.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, in turn, said "the participation of Korean businesses in the country's industrialization is very important."

"It is important for us to develop the cooperation on the exchange of innovations," Nazarbayev said.

He noted that South Korea's achievements in this field are impressive.
