Kazakh Transport and Communications Ministry develops a draft law on transport security, the ministry's Legal Department Director Argyn Iskakbekov told journalists on Friday.
"The draft law is planned to be submitted to the Kazakh Parliament in 2012," Iskakbekov said.
A few days ago Vienna (Austria) hosted the Discussion Forum on inland transport security in "roundtable" format, conducted by the OSCE and UN Economic Commission for Europe.
The Discussion Forum was attended by experts of international organizations, researchers, specialists of transport organizations, representatives of the competent authorities of transport departments from 20 countries of far and near abroad countries (France, Greece, Canada, Russia and Israel).
The Forum stressed that at present problems with regard to ensuring security of inland transport are common to all countries. The experts shared their experience in providing security for road, railway and inland waterway transport.
