BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. Iran's petrochemical exports rose seven percent in value and 5 percent in weight during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year, Iran's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and Director General of Customs Administration Mohammad Rezvanifar told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran's petrochemical exports amounted to 28.1 million tons worth $11.3 billion during the six months.
Furthermore, it is announced that by March 20, 2025, Iran's real production of petrochemical products will reach 83 million tons.
To note, over the next ten years, Iran's goal is to increase the production of petrochemical products to 186 million tons.
Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to 70 million tons worth $25.8 billion during the six months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023).
