Azerbaijan, Baku, April 3 / Trend A. Huseynbala /
There is no need for warnings about age restrictions during the demonstration of movies on Azerbaijani TV channels, the chairman of the National Council on Television and Radio (NCTR) said.
"Azerbaijan has a decision that is different from similar decisions in other countries, for children under 7 not to watch some movies," the council chairman Nushiravan Maharramli said.
There are eight republican, 14 regional and 13 cable TV channels in Azerbaijan.
A warning about undesirable watching of this movie by children up to seven years appears on the screen in Turkey and other countries.
According to Maharramli, Azerbaijan made another decision due to this issue. "First, this kind of written warnings are a sign for kids. Secondly, we have adopted special rules to prohibit the demonstration of such films and programs from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.", Maharramli said.
According to him, monitoring conducted by the National Council showed that Azerbaijani channels strictly adhere to the accepted rules of film screenings.
