BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. Azerbaijan's state budget for January 2025 hit the ground running, showcasing a robust performance in both revenues and expenditures.

The data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Finance shows that January's budget revenues totaled 4.5 billion manat ($2.6 billion), exceeding the monthly forecast by 91.3 million manat ($53.6 million), or 2.3 percent.

Key revenue sources included 2.25 billion manat ($1.32 billion) from the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, 487.2 million manat ($286.5 million) from the State Customs Committee, 3.3 million manat ($1.94 million) from the State Property Service, and 1.21 billion manat ($711.5 million) in transfers from the State Oil Fund. Additionally, revenue from paid services of state-funded organizations amounted to 57.2 million manat ($33.6 million), while other revenues stood at 37 million manats ($21.7 million).

In line with the income trends, the Treasury ensured the timely and full execution of all expenditure directives. January's budget expenditures amounted to 2.34 billion manat ($1.37 billion), which was 12.5 million manat ($7.35 million) or 0.5 percent more than the monthly forecast.

Even with just 18 official working days in January, this was a real feather in the cap, marking the highest level of budget execution in recent years.
