ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 10. Batumi Sea Port has confirmed its compliance with the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, Trend reports via KazTransOil.
According to the information, the Georgian Maritime Transport Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard Representation, including delegation head Joe Chiaravalle, team member Eric Hatfield, and program coordinator Yekaterina Pargalava, evaluated Batumi Sea Port’s compliance with the ISPS Code certificate obtained in March of this year.
“The comprehensive audit of the port’s security system - including access procedures, video surveillance systems, and perimeter security - highlighted the quality of technical equipment, well-organized security operations, and compliance with the current ISPS certificate,” the report stated.
Batumi Sea Port continues to implement a set of measures to strengthen its security standards and reaffirms its status as a reliable link in the international logistics infrastructure.
KazTransOil JSC directly owns and manages production assets in Georgia through Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (BOT), which holds exclusive management rights over 100 percent of Batumi Sea Port LLC.
