TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 2. Air China has been granted permission to operate regular passenger flights to Uzbekistan, Trend reports via the country's Civil Aviation Agency.
The decision was made based on the intergovernmental Agreement on Air Services signed between Uzbekistan and China on April 19, 1994.
The operational permit allows Air China to operate regular flights on the Beijing–Tashkent–Beijing and Urumqi–Tashkent–Urumqi routes. The airline will use Boeing 737-800/8 MAX and Airbus A330-300/200 aircraft to service these flights.
This move is expected to enhance connectivity between the two countries and support growing demand for air travel between Uzbekistan and China, in line with increasing economic and cultural cooperation.
