Azerbaijani insurers' premiums rose by almost 4 percent

The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry announced results of the top ten insurance companies' activities for January-March, which accounted for 83.77 percent of the total insurance collections and 74.64 percent of total payments. Twenty eight insurance companies and one reinsurance company operate in Azerbaijan.

Azal Sigorta again leads the ranking in terms of insurance collections and SK Azersigorta carried out the largest amount of payments.

The Azerbaijani companies' total premiums hit 44.43 million manat and payments-10.29 million manat.

Over the year, the Azerbaijani companies' total premiums grew by 3.64 percent (42.87 million manat) and payments declined by 0.29 percent (10.32 million manat).

The ministry's report for January did not specify the results of the only reinsurance company Az RE.
