BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. Iran's imports from Türkiye increased by 17.8 percent in value and 20 percent in volume, during the first 3 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.
As reflected in the report of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported nearly 841,000 tons of goods worth approximately $1.5 billion from Türkiye in 3 months.
In the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's import from Türkiye stood at 700,000 tons worth $1.27 billion.
Over 3 months, Iran mainly imported various types of equipment, food products, raw materials, fabric, etc. from Türkiye.
During the 3rd month alone (May 22 through June 21, 2023), Iran imported about 301,000 tons of goods worth$ 603 million from Türkiye.
Overall, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
