ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 24. Kazakhstan plans to put into operation about 180 industrial projects by the end of 2024, Trend reports.
According to the government of Kazakhstan, the volume of investments in these projects will be about 1.4 trillion tenge (about $2.95 billion).
Among the expected major projects:
- EkibastuzFerroAlloys LLP, a ferroalloy plant with 800 jobs in the Pavlodar region, an investment volume is 92.4 billion tenge (about $194 million), the design capacity in physical terms is 240,000 tons of ferrosilicon per year;
- KamLitKZ LLP, a plant for the production of truck components with iron casting for 360 jobs in the Kostanay region, investment volume 78.2 billion tenge (about $164 million), design capacity in physical terms 45,000 tons per year;
- Zhetysu Wolfram LLP, industrial development of the Boguty tungsten ore deposit in the Almaty region, investment volume of 135 billion tenge (about $284 million), 350 jobs, mining and processing of 3.3 million tons of ore per year, production of 10,000 tons of concentrate per year, 65 percent WO3 concentrate;
- TechnoNIKOL-KAZAKHSTAN LLP, a plant for the production of thermal insulation materials with 220 jobs in the Almaty region, investment volume 43.9 billion tenge (about $95.5 million), productivity - 1.4 million cubic meters per year of stone wool and 400,000 cubic meters per year of polymer insulation;
- Scientific and Production Company “Prujina” LLP, a plant for the production of springs for rolling stock, investment volume is 1.1 billion tenge (about $2.3 million), with the creation of 51 jobs, design capacity in physical terms – 298,500 pieces per year.
After all projects reach full capacity, production volumes will amount to about 1.8 trillion tenge (about $3.8 billion), including export – 0.4 trillion tenge (about $843 million), import substitution – 1.4 trillion tenge (about $2.95 billion).
Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, 40 new projects worth 570 billion tenge (about $1.2 billion) have been commissioned across the country, and 6,900 permanent jobs have been created.
