BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. Kazakhstan has put forward a proposal to send a unified message to the leaders of Turkic states, urging enhanced state support for the national Red Crescent societies, the president of the National Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan, Erkebek Argymbayev, said, Trend reports.
He made the announcement at a meeting of the heads of the Red Crescent Network of member states of the Organization of Turkic-speaking States (OTS) in Baku.
Argymbayev proposed that the Secretariat and the current chair of the Turkic network jointly prepare this appeal. It should highlight key areas requiring attention: strengthening legal status, developing institutional capacity, enhancing material and technical resources, expanding the network of branches, and increasing the human and financial resources of societies.
The official noted that state support is the foundation for the sustainable development of humanitarian organizations.
