A French delegation, which included International Cooperation Department head Jossain Lanteri and her deputy Francois Plesser, visited Baku under an agreement between the Azerbaijani Tax Ministry and French Chief Financial Directorate under the State Budget, Accounting, Service and Reforms Ministry. The visit was of an informational characater.
"We plan to begin negotiations on training Azerbaijani tax officials. At the same time, we are interested in the mechanism used in Azerbaijan for accumulating VAT receipts to deposit accounts and electronic invoices, improving and assessing staff and management, and rendering services to big taxpayers, " Lanteri said.
She added that plans include organizing meetings between the tax authorities of the two countries.
