Georgian company of mineral water 'Nabeglavi' filed a formal request to Russia for a certificate.
However, as the CEO of the company, former Agriculture Minister Mikhail Svimonishvili told the Kommersant radio, it will not be possible to export products to the Russian market this year.
Svimonishvili expressed hope that the Russian sanitary service experts will arrive in Georgia in spring, and 'Nabeglavi' will receive a certificate.
He said if the Russian market opens for Georgian products, 'Nabeglavi' will return to Russia, because the water already was on sale in Russia in 2003-2005.
Moreover, Svimonishvili noted that the chief sanitary doctor of Russia granted 'Nabeglavi' a status of high quality mineral water and awarded it a gold medal. However, later Russian market was closed for 'Nabeglavi' as well as for other Georgian products.
