Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization has provided vocational training to 56,100 people in villages during the pandemic in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2020), said the director-general of Technical and Vocational Training Organization, Habib Erfanmanesh, Trend reports citing IRNA.

From the following 56,100 people, about 4,100 were from nomads, and 52,000 were from villages that trained in the field of industry, services, agriculture, and art.

Erfanmanesh has indicated at least 40 percent of trainees have the chance to launch a business and entrepreneurship in rural areas.

The government priority is to develop jobs by providing advances and other incentive policies in villages and access for individuals to obtain permits, he said.

Vocational courses are assessed for the specific environment and region in any part of the country and are given based on the priority of local job opportunities so villagers can gain skills to enter the labor market.

"Also economically justified plans for creating jobs would be introduced to agent banks to receive employment advances," he emphasized.
