The iron ore pellet production of 9 major Iranian companies increased by 21 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, these companies produced about 31.4 million tons of iron ore pellet over 10 months. The figure stood at 26 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"The Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 10.4 million tons of iron ore pellet, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 4.78 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 3.38 million tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 3.15 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 2.97 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced 2.73 million tons of iron ore pellet, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 2.67 million tons, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – 939,000 tons and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 354,000 tons within the mentioned period.
According to the report, these companies supplied 15.4 million tons of iron ore pellet to the relevant manufacturing companies in 10 months, which is an increase of 10 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure was 13.9 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), iron ore pellets production of the mentioned companies amounted to 2.7 million tons, which is an increase of 0.1 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the production amounted to 2.7 million tons in the same month last Iranian year.
The companies supplied 1.44 million tons of iron ore pellet to the relevant manufacturing companies in the 10th month. This is an increase of 15 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, the figure was 1.26 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
