The Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company of Iran increased its sales to a total of 963,000 tons over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), Managing Director of the company, Abdolkarim Pahlavani said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
The director noted that while in the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020) the company's sales amounted to 899,000 tons.
Pahlavani added that the sales of polymer products also increased to 647,000 tons in the last Iranian year. However, this figure amounted to 563,000 tons in the preceding Iranian year.
“In addition, the volume of the company's exports amounted to about 361,000 tons during last Iranian year. Whereas, the company's exports amounted to 292,000 tons within the preceding Iranian year,” he said.
The director stressed that the Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company set a record for production last Iranian year. So, the company produced 1.41 million tons of products. While in the preceding Iranian year, 1.33 million tons of products had been produced at the company.
Moreover, the company's polymer production was 630,000 tons in the last Iranian year. However, the company's polymer production was 591,000 tons in the preceding Iranian year, according to Pahlavani.
Reportedly, the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company is located in the Petrochemical special economic zone at the Imam Khomeini port of Khuzestan province. The company annually produces 520 tons of ethylene, 300,000 tons of LDPE, 260,000 tons of LLDPE, 140,000 tons of HDPE, 154,000 tons of propylene, 134,000 tons of DPG, 104,000 tons of C4 Cut, 51,000 tons of Butadiene, 20,000 tons of butane, 1,500 tons of Pe-wax and other products.
Iran's Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company sold about 158 trillion rials (about $3.75 billion) worth of products in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021). Of this, 74.7 trillion rials (about $1.78 billion) worth was accounted for domestic sales, while 82.8 trillion rials (about $1.97 billion) worth for exports.
