ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 11. The number of joint investment projects between Kazakhstan and Russia is set to double by next year, reaching a target of 250, Marat Karabayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, said at the INNOPROM-2023 International Industrial Trade Fair in Russia's Yekaterinburg, Trend reports.
According to the minister, currently, there are approximately 125 ongoing joint projects between the two countries. In addition, he noted that it is planned to carry out investment projects worth $75 billion in the next five years, which includes more than 800 projects.
Karabayev went on to add that several sectors that could be of interest, including the processing industry, iron ore processing, aluminum and copper industries, construction, light industry, and more.
The Kazakh delegation is participating at the INNOPROM-2023 International Industrial Trade Fair in Yekaterinburg, which is being held on July 10-13.
The Kazakh pavilion covers an area of 1,000 square meters and showcases products and solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, engineering, construction industry, and light industry. Over 200 companies have presented their offerings at the exhibition.
