ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 6. Kazakhstan's Astana plans to launch 25 projects (including 15 projects in the manufacturing industry), worth a total of 87 billion tenge (about $188.5 million) by the end of 2023, Trend reports.

This was stated in the report of the head of the executive power of the city of Astana, Zhenis Kassymbek, for President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

As Kassymbek noted, positive dynamics is observed in all key economic indicators.

"For seven months of 2023, the volume of investments increased by 9.2 percent, reaching 678.5 billion tenge (about $1.47 billion)," he said.

He also said that gas-fired thermal power plants and TPP-3 are planned to be phased into operation already in the upcoming heating season. They will provide 1,100 Gcal/h of heat, which will ensure a surplus of thermal energy in the capital.

According to Kassymbek, in the current academic year, 11 schools will be built in Astana, 4 of them are already operating. As part of the Comfortable School national project, 24 schools for almost 90,000 students will be built in the period 2024-2025. 15 of them will be located in the booming areas of Yesil and Nura.
