ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 25. Over 200 investment projects worth 164.5 billion tenge (about $358 million) have been launched in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2023, Trend reports.
The most key and important investment projects of 2023:
The manufacture of powdered mare's milk with a capacity of 40 tons per year began in the Kostanay region. The project cost a total of 10 billion tenge (approximately $21.7 million).
In the Kostanay region, the Turkish firm Arbel Bakliyat has built a plant for full-cycle processing of legumes with a capacity of up to 1,000 tons per day. The first investment is 4 billion tenge (approximately $8.7 million), with a subsequent increase to 9.4 billion tenge (about $20.4 million).
A new innovative 4th generation greenhouse has been launched in the North Kazakhstan region, where it is planned to harvest about 3,000 tons of tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce per year. The cost of the project is 7.2 billion tenge (about $15.6 million).
Together with the Swiss company Buhler, a project for the production of gluten-free oat flakes was implemented in the Akmola region. The cost of the project is over 2.5 billion tenge (about $5.44 million), and the capacity is 2 tons of products per hour.
A vegetable storage facility for 10,000 tons of products was launched in the Pavlodar region. The project is estimated at 1.8 billion tenge (about $3.9 million).
The construction of a grain storage facility for 12,000 tons in the East Kazakhstan region has been completed. The cost of the project is 1.2 billion tenge (about $2.6 million).
The largest meat processing plant in the North Kazakhstan region, Emc Agro LLP, has reached a capacity of 15,000 tons of finished products per year. The total amount of the project is 11.5 billion tenge (about $25 million).
In general, based on the results of 11 months, 855 billion tenge (about $1.85 billion) were attracted to the agriculture sector of Kazakhstan (11 percent more than last year) and 130 billion tenge (about $283 million) to food production (an increase of 9.5 percent).
