DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 8. Trade turnover between Georgia and Tajikistan amounted to $31.419 million from January through November 2024, which is a decrease of 9.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($34.698 million), Trend reports.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), Georgia's exports to Tajikistan totaled $31.082 million during the reported months, which is a 9.7 percent decline from $34.430 million recorded in January–November 2023.
Specifically, Georgian reexports to Tajikistan amounted to $26.134 million in the reporting period, declining by 11.9 percent compared to January-November 2023 ($29.664 million).
This year, Georgia imported products from Tajikistan in the following months: January, February, March, May, and October. The total import value amounted to $336,110, which is 25 percent higher than by the end of November 2023 ($268,630).
To note, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $37.281 million in 2023, which is a 62 percent increase compared to $22.923 million in 2022. Exports to Tajikistan reached $37.012 million, while imports amounted to $268,630.
