An international folklore festival "The spiritual treasure of mankind" was opened in Ashgabat today.
The festival will be attended by representatives of over 200 countries, including from the Central Asia, Caucasus, as well as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and others.
The event will organize the international exhibition of decorative and applied art. The paintings, carpets, tapestries, musical instruments, items made of ceramics, wood, iron, mosaics, as well as jewelry will be exhibited at the event.
"All residents and visitors will be able to see The best works of the representatives of Germany, China, Korea, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Iraq, Singapore, Portugal, Mongolia and other countries," - Neutral Turkmenistan reported.
Turkmenistan's national pavilion will exhibit the work of more than 100 best masters of decorative and applied art. They include - carpet-maker, tapestry maker, masters of embroiderers and designers of clothing, jewelers, painters, sculptors.
Turkmen skilled craftsmen plan to organize a master class and demonstrate the process of making these works.
