The preparatory hearing has ended in the case of a suspect accused of ordering the killing of a businessmen in Baku.
A judicial review is scheduled for April 22, the Baku Heinous Crimes Court told Trend .
In the course of investigation, the police uncovered that the suspects Shohrat Guliyev and Mehman Gahramanov has established an organized crime group with Anar Hasanov, Sakhavat Khudoyev, Ilham Shabanov, Khazar Kazimov and Elmar Gasimov.
Guliyev instructed the group to kill Baku businessman Ahmed Ibrahimov for $25,000. Ibrahimov was murdered by a member of the group Dec. 18, 2003.
Guliyev also ordered the murder of Ganja resident Kamal Alekberov for $25,000. Group member Ilham Shabanov killed Alekberov in front of his home March 22, 2004.
As a result of the investigation, the police uncovered that the group met in the Gush Sudu cafe owned by Khazar Kazimov in Ganja to discuss their plans and sell drugs. In June 2009, the police seized weapons, ammunition and narcotics form the premises.
