Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.I.Khalilova / State Statistic Committee has reported that the Azerbaijani Government has practically completed the first stage on joining the International Monitory Fund's special standards on information spread. Measures, envisaged for the State Statistic Committee, were completely fulfilled.
The issue on spreading information about foreign liabilities of the country has not been settled yet. This issue can be discussed by the Finance Ministry, after adoption the law on 'State debts' by the Parliament.
The second stage will be commenced in September, and the State statistic Committee has to develop a new statistic report. In compliance with IMF's recommendations the report should note monthly indexes of GDP. Four stages are planning to implement by the end of 2007. After summarizing the information in March 2008, the Government can discuss the issue on joining Azerbaijan the IMF. Settlement of the issue depends on adoption the law on 'State debts.' Azerbaijan joined IMF's total standards of information spread three years before.
