Sales of the Azerbaijani company Fostanpak, engaged in the production of plastic and aluminum containers, paper and plastic glasses, declined compared with the previous two years, Ali Keresh, head of the company’s sales department, told Trend.

He said that this fact is usually of a seasonal nature, sales decline in the winter and autumn periods.

“Basically, our products are easily sold in the summer and spring periods, especially when there is a large influx of tourists,” he noted. “At the height of the summer season, a large customer base is provided by cafes and restaurants, and sales make up 100 percent. In the winter period, the sales, as a rule, decrease by 20-30 percent, but this year this figure was much higher than usual and amounted to 50 percent.”

He suggested that a slight crisis in the consumer market could also contribute to a sharp decline in the company’s sales.

The company Fostanpak is also engaged in the production of medical and cleaning products, stretch films, foils and other disposable products under the brand name “Monopak”.

The company is also an Azerbaijani distributor of many foreign manufacturing companies from Germany, Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and China.
