Licenses were issued to establish 1,045 industrial enterprises in Iran’s north-western East Azerbaijan province during 10 months (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020) of this Iranian year, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Habib Aminzade said.
“This figure increased by 39.5 percent compared to the same period of last year,” Aminzade added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
“As a result, about 116.5 billion rials (about $2.7 million) were invested in the establishment of industrial enterprises, which is by 1.1 percent more compared to the same period of last year,” the chairman said.
“The licenses worth 9.6 trillion rials (about $230 million) were issued for commissioning 252 industrial enterprises this Iranian year,” the chairman said. “As a result, 3,790 people were employed. Some 313 enterprises were put into operation in the same period of last year and 1,780 people were employed.”
There are 4,850 industrial enterprises in the East Azerbaijan province. In this regard, the province ranks fifth in Iran.
