Cooperation with international partners is important for Georgia, especially in the framework of the ongoing reforms in the country, Georgian Prime Minister Georgi Gakharia said, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

The Prime Minister spoke about the annual Donor Forum Conference, which was held in Tbilisi last week, and noted that the forum was a success.

“The main priorities of our government’s policies are rapid economic growth, job creation, education reform, as well as security and open governance. These are all areas that were discussed in detail, and we have received full support from our partners in terms of reforms in these areas.” said Gakharia.

The Prime Minister focused on human rights strategy.

“This year we are starting to work on a long-term strategy in the field of human rights, which is an extremely important area. In the process of creating the strategy, we will use all kinds of local and international platforms,” Gakharia said.

The Prime Minister called on members of the government to take an active part in the process within their competencies.
