Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov has recently familiarized with the work on construction of oil and gas fields in Central Karakum, "Neutral Turkmenistan" reported.

In particular, the presidential helicopter landed on the territory of oil-field Mydar, where work has been held since the second half of 2009.

At this stage, a comprehensive metering unit, booster pump station, storage tanks for petroleum have been mounted.

All necessary construction and installation work has been conducted. Roads have been laid.

Wells drilled in the field provide with daily flow of 200 tons of oil during the experimental-industrial exploitation. In future it will be increased to 350 tons.

A connecting pipeline is laid from Mydar field to Yylakly field. Today, oil is delivered to refineries.

Up to 120 tons of oil is extracted per day in the initial period of trial operation at Yylakly. In future, daily production volumes will increase to 150 tons.

Specialists said that this oil significantly differs in quality due to very small impurity compared to the same raw materials mined in other fields.
