SOCAR-AQS drilling enterprise has started to drill a new well from platform #20 at the Western Absheron field in the Caspian Sea, SOCAR told Trend Dec. 22.
“The drilling of the well #30 at the Western Absheron field will be carried out from the offshore platform #20. The projected depth of the well is 750 meters,” SOCAR said.
The Western Absheron field is owned by SOCAR’s Absheronneft Oil & Gas Extraction Department.
SOCAR-AQS carries out the drilling operations on the field on the basis of an agreement.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling as a joint venture, rendering integrated services for drilling and well servicing.
