TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 8. Foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Lithuania reached $435.1 million in the period from January through July 2024, the statement of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency said, Trend reports.
According to the information, this is 10.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2023, when the trade turnover amounted to $393.3 million.
Therefore, Lithuania has made it into the big leagues as one of Uzbekistan's top 13 trade partners.
The export of Uzbek goods to Lithuania amounted to $142.3 million, which is 102.4 percent more compared to last year ($70.3 million from January through July 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from Lithuania reached $292.8 million from January through June 2024. This figure is up 10.3 percent from the same period last year ($323 million from January through July 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's total trade turnover amounted to $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This figure increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($34.9 billion from January through July 2023).
The country's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled $22 billion.
