Uzbekistan shares data on exported cherries in 9M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 3. In the period from January through September 2024, Uzbekistan's cherry exports reached 32,200 tons, generating a revenue of $70.3 million.

Data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the recorded volume has decreased by 39.7 percent compared to the same period last year (45,000 tons from January through September 2023).

Notably, Uzbekistan exported 1.4 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1 billion from January through September 2024. This indicator has increased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period last year (1.3 million tons from January through September 2023).

Exports of horticultural products accounted for 5.3 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.

Russia has emerged as the leading importer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan, with imports totaling 618,900 tons valued at $467.3 million.
